This page is a hub of information and resources for School Tobacco Prevention Coordinators in the Bismarck area.
Dates to Remember
Opportunities for action include the following dates:
- Red Ribbon Week (Oct. 23 - 31, 2023)
- Great American Smoke Out (Nov. 16, 2023)
- Great American Spit Out (Feb. 22, 2024)
- National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week (March 2024 TBD)
- Take Down Tobacco: National Day of Action (April 1, 2024)
- World No Tobacco Day ( May 31, 2024)
Throughout the school year School Tobacco Prevention Coordinators are required to participate in a minimum of two "tobacco prevention holidays." These are great opportunities for students to take action to educate their peers and community members about tobacco prevention topics and policies that directly affect youth.
Required Documents to Complete
One week prior to the date of the event coordinators must turn in an Action Plan for their school.
Coordinators are required to turn in 2 progress reports during the school year. The first progress report is due the first week of December; the second progress report is due the first week of April.
This is a required consent form applicable to youth participation in activities.
