The North Dakota smoke-free law requires no smoking signs to be posted in locations that are smoke free. Signs must be posted at all entrances, and in all indoor public places and work places.
Examples include:
- apartment buildings
- restaurants
- indoor sports arenas
- hotels and motels
- offices
- health care facilities
- public buildings
- licensed child care and adult care facilities
Multiunit Housing property owners and managers may choose to further protect the public’s health by making entire rental property smoke free. Signage for Apartments with Lease Agreements that exceed North Dakota’s Smoke-free Law requirements are available for FREE.
