Ward County

Ward County includes the communities of Berthold, Burlington, Carpio, Des Lacs, Donnybrook, Douglas, Foxholm, Kenmare, Makoti, Minot, Ryder, Sawyer, and Surrey. Holly Brekhus is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Ward County and can be reached at 701-852-1376 or hibrekhus@nd.gov.

In Ward County, there are currently two local tobacco-free coalitions: Kenmare Tobacco-Free Coalition and STAMP (Minot). Local coalitions work to reduce the impact of tobacco. Tobacco is the leading cause of preventable death in our country.
